About the Client

KBB Recruitment are representing a long-established and respected builders merchant with a strong presence across the South East. This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to become a key part of a busy and customer-focused builders merchant branch.

Key Responsibilities -

Yard Duties

Assisting customers to locate and load materials

Loading and unloading supplier and customer vehicles

Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe

Carrying out stock checks and reporting damages or shortages

Following all Health & Safety and PPE requirements

Driving Duties

Delivering building materials to customers using a company van (up to 3.5t)

Planning efficient delivery routes in line with schedules

Ensuring loads are secured and paperwork is completed accurately

Providing friendly, professional customer service on every delivery

Requirements/Skills:

Full UK driving licence

Experience in a builders merchant, trade, or construction environment

Good knowledge of building materials (desirable)

Strong customer service and communication skills

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work

Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
