Coordinate the end-to-end testing strategy for Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS) centralized systems
Work with project teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
Gather testing requirements from subject matter experts
Produce technical documentation and map scenarios for comprehensive test execution
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in development environments
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in pre-production
Conduct Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) with operational control teams
Verify system performance under expected workloads
Test integration with Real Time Systems including PowerOn and Eterra
Conduct reliability and failover testing between primary and secondary sites
Identify and resolve issues with cross-functional engineers, technicians, and project managers
Document test procedures and findings
Communicate recommendations to key stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of system configurations across development and UAT environments
Ensure availability of test infrastructure
Provide guidance and knowledge exchange to junior engineers
Contribute to projects and initiatives advancing departmental and company goals
Requirements
Experience with electricity transmission networks and control systems
Familiarity with IEC104, Modbus/TCP, IEC 61850, and IEEE standards
Experience in end-to-end testing across IED, SCADA, server, and network infrastructure
HND or degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline
Ability to create detailed technical test specifications and documentation
Experience gathering and documenting technical environments
Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools
Knowledge of communication protocols and network technologies
Familiarity with OT security practices and best practices
Excellent problem-solving abilities and methodical approach
Strong communication, presentation, and verbal communication capabilities
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
Strong safety awareness, professional behaviour, and integrity
Positive, flexible approach and strong self-discipline
Willingness to work across teams and contribute to additional projects and initiatives
Experience with IED test equipment such as Omicron beneficial but not essential
Applicants who are not citizens of the country of the vacancy must meet applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that country
