The Opportunity
An established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join its growing structural engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Engineer looking to take on a senior leadership role, managing complex projects, developing client relationships, and helping to shape the future growth of a successful consultancy.
The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
The Role of Associate Structural Engineer:
As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will lead the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, managing multidisciplinary teams while ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance, and exceptional client service.
You will also play an important role in mentoring engineers, supporting business development, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities of this Associate Structural Engineer role:
Lead structural engineering projects through all project stages.
Manage project teams, resources, programmes, and budgets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership and review structural calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
Mentor and develop engineers and technicians across all levels.
Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM Regulations, and relevant legislation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Support business development through fee proposals, client meetings, and securing new opportunities.
Promote innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.About You
You will be a confident and commercially aware Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience delivering structural engineering projects within a UK consultancy environment.
Essential Requirements
