Job Description

Security Engineer is required by a leading Quant Trading firm. This is an entry-level position and would suit a graduate with 1-3 years of commercial security experience who is looking for a move into a security engineering-focused role. The ideal candidate will have a degree in technology and/or a cybersecurity-related subject and possess an eagerness to learn all aspects of security engineering. Extensive training and development will be provided. The package includes a highly competitive salary and an exceptional annual bonus.

Duties:

Manage incoming security requests and operational tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Execute day-to-day security tasks such as permission management, firewall rule updates, and access provisioning and deprovisioning
Collaborate with internal teams to support identity and access management and ensure adherence to security policies
Maintain and improve documentation for security operational procedures
Identify and contribute to opportunities for automation and process optimisation
Support continuous improvement of operational efficiency and control effectiveness

Please note: this is predominantly an office-based role so would suit someone within commutable distance of central London.
