Technical Manager
Salary - £72,698 plus car allowance
We're looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join our client during an exciting period of growth. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the technical and design delivery of our residential development programme and ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality homes and thriving communities.
As part of the Leadership Team, you'll work closely with our Construction, Commercial and Development teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standards throughout the development lifecycle.
You'll lead a team of Design Coordinators, Document Controllers and a Project Planner, providing clear direction while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement. What you'll be doing
Lead the technical and design delivery of residential developments from tender stage through to completion and handover.
Provide technical leadership, governance and oversight across multiple projects, ensuring designs are compliant, buildable, cost-effective and aligned with programme requirements.
Identify, manage and mitigate technical risks, carrying out design reviews to resolve issues at the earliest opportunity.
Ensure compliance with planning conditions, Building Regulations, CDM requirements, fire safety legislation, warranty standards and all relevant statutory approvals.
Review and approve drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure consistency, quality and compliance across all developments.
Manage and coordinate external consultants, design teams and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to agreed programme, budget and quality standards.
Develop and monitor design programmes, ensuring technical information is available in line with project and construction milestones.
Work collaboratively with Construction, Commercial and Development teams to support successful project delivery and wider business objectives.
