EHCP Assistant - Reading

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with additional needs and helping them access the support outlined in their EHCPs?

A Secondary SEN School in Reading is seeking a dedicated and caring EHCP Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, SEN professionals, or Teachers.

As an EHCP Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in line with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support students in accessing learning and developing confidence, independence, and communication skills.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to ensure students receive appropriate and consistent support.
  • Monitor students' progress, engagement, wellbeing, and individual needs throughout the school day.

We're looking for an EHCP Assistant who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people with additional needs.
  • A confident communicator with a genuine passion for SEN and inclusive education.
  • Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, education, therapy, or specialist SEN support.
  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Job Details

  • Location: Reading
  • Setting: Secondary SEN School
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: 93- 110 per day
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Contract: Full-time

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
