Salary: £14.25 - £14.25 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming community school based in Tonypandy. The school provides a supportive environment for its pupils and has a fantastic ethos throughout, ensuring children feel encouraged, included and supported in their learning.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Learning Support Assistant on a long-term, part-time basis throughout the week, with working days varying each week depending on the needs of the school. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work within the school's Special Resource Base / SRB, supporting pupils with Autism / ASD through interventions, group work and general classroom support, and candidates must be comfortable providing personal care when required.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism / ASD

• Experience working within an SRB, ALN provision or similar educational setting is desirable

• Confidence delivering interventions and small group activities

• Be comfortable providing personal care when required

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
