Post-placement support from Tonic
Tonic are pleased to partner with University College Birmingham on their new commercial restaurants, and are recruiting an Assistant Manager for Beyond in Birmingham City Centre. Beyond is a commercial restaurant. It is not a training site and you will not be teaching. Mornings and afternoons are an all-day offering built around excellent coffee, then at 17:00 the room turns into evening service with serious food and a proper drinks list behind it. As Assistant Manager you will run shifts across both, lead the floor team through the switch from day to evening, and take on stock, cash and rota work as you grow into the role. If you are a Supervisor ready for your first management title, or an Assistant Manager who wants a room worth putting your name to, this is a good one.
What are we looking for from Assistant Manager candidates?
Experience as an Assistant Manager, or a Supervisor ready to step up, in a quality-led restaurant, bar or coffee-led site
Able to run a shift from open to close and be accountable for it
Confident leading a floor team through the switch from day service to evening service
Working knowledge of cash handling, stock counts and cash-up
Visible on the floor and firm on service standards
Willing to learn the commercial side, rotas, labour and GP
Available across a seven day operation, including evenings and weekends
If you are interested in this role or would like to find out more, get in touch with the team at Tonic today.
