QA Technician

Job Description

QA Technician ManufacturingLocation: Lichfield areaPay Rate: £15.00 per hourA well-established and expanding manufacturing business is seeking a QA Technician to join its Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with quality inspection experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing company.The RoleYou will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will carry out inspections, maintain accurate quality records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of manufactured components and assembliesRead and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and customer requirementsUse measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection toolsRecord inspection results and maintain quality documentation accuratelyAssist in identifying and investigating non-conforming productsSupport corrective actions and root cause analysis activitiesParticipate in internal quality checks and audit activitiesWork collaboratively with production and engineering teams to improve quality performanceHelp maintain quality systems and documentation in line with company proceduresPromote safe working practices and maintain a clean working environmentRequirementsEssentialPrevious experience in a Quality Technician, QA, or Quality Inspector role within manufacturing or engineeringAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience using precision measuring equipmentExcellent attention to detailGood computer and record-keeping skillsStrong communication and organisational abilitiesAbility to work independently and within a teamDesirableExperience within fabrication, welding, machining or precision engineeringKnowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systemsInternal auditing experienceFamiliarity with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodsExperience using CMM inspection equipmentWorking HoursMonday to Thursday: 7:30am 4:30pmFriday: 7:30am 12:00pmThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business where your quality expertise will play a key role in supporting production standards and ongoing improvement across the operation.Please contact Sasha at to discuss the role further.JBRP1_UKTJ
