The Company
The client is an international pharmaceutical company with a wide suite of products. With offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, they have a well-established global presence. Having had a fantastic finish to Q1, they are looking to expand the London team as they kickstart more projects.
Lead Accountant Responsibilities
Supervise transactional accounting operations for EMEA branches.
Guarantee punctual and precise financial statements for European entities, aligning with US and local GAAP standards.
Oversee processes, controls, and systems to ensure compliance and optimize efficiency.
Administer Purchase-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash workflows.
Propose ERP enhancements tailored to European needs.
Spearhead the evaluation of statutory accounts for European branches.
Coordinate with external audit firms for streamlined annual audits.
Direct the daily operations of external accounting and tax service providers.
Lead Accountant Requirements
5 - 8 years' experience in accounting
Proven experience with US GAAP & IFRS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in accounting; Accounting qualification a plus
Experience in pharmaceutical / biotech / medical device industry preferred
Experience in supervising audits and GL management
