What you’ll be doing

• Responsible for day-to-day management of operatives, staff and site-based support to ensure site capability/capacity is maximised.
• Deliver strong operational and financial performance whilst maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, customer service and team engagement.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all employees and those affected by our operations.
• Manage operations against Veolia Minimum Requirements.
• Manage people & assets to deliver efficient & profitable service & ensure the most efficient disposal and recycling solutions are utilised.
• Identify & drive efficiencies to maximise revenue & profit.
• Challenge existing practice and seek value-for-money alternatives to deliver long-term sustainable economic benefits.
• Aim to meet waste reduction and recycling targets by ensuring processes and ways of working are followed.
• Identify and implement initiatives to improve business performance and ecological transformation.
• Prepare and present accurate reports on waste generation, handling, and disposal activities to key stakeholders and management.
• Monitor and analyse waste data to identify trends, benchmarks, and areas for improvement.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Transport CPC
• Level 3 Leadership or equivalent experience
• Previous waste management experience
