Cyber Security Engineer

Cyber Security Engineer | Hybrid / Cardiff | £62,000 - £72,000

We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join an established Cyber Resilience function, taking a hands‑on role in strengthening security operations across a complex technology environment.

You’ll work across Microsoft security technologies, cloud security, identity, vulnerability management and threat detection, while helping improve the organisation’s overall cyber resilience.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing and improving Microsoft Defender and Sentinel capabilitiesSecuring Azure environments and implementing effective security controlsManaging Entra ID security, including Conditional Access, Identity Protection and privileged accessSupporting vulnerability management and remediationSupporting threat monitoring, detection and incident responseProviding security input into technology projects and architecture decisionsSupporting security frameworks including NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, NIST CSF and CIS ControlsActing as a security SME to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
