McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Regional Accountancy Practice who are looking to strengthen their team and recruit a Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant / Accounts Semi-Senior for their Buckinghamshire based offices. Reporting to one of the Client Managers, you will be responsible for:
Working on a variety of interesting and smaller Accounting assignments across multiple industry sectors, liaising with managers and partners when required
Preparing basic audit files, undertaking audit planning and leading/assisting juniors with fieldwork
Ensuring accounting assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with the Manager
Using accounting software to provide accurate financial and management reporting for the Director and clients
Preparing basic monthly & quarterly management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
Assisting with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts under the supervision of the Accounts Manager
Completing working papers including preparing bank reconciliations, other reconciliations and manual control accounts
Maintaining up to date and relevant technical knowledge of industry-wise audit issues
Providing input to new service and product pricing, including assisting with new client quotes
To be considered for the role you should be a Part-Qualified AAT, ACA or ACCA Accountant, ideally with 2+ years client accounts experience of small and medium-sized corporate businesses, and a working history either in a well-established small or regional Accountancy firm. You will have experience working in a team environment on multiple audit clients, building relationships with clients and internal management teams, and being able to prioritise and work to strict audit deadlines. The position is likely to be 20% Audit and 80% Accounts.
On offer is a salary up to £34,000 depending on relevant experience & qualification level, with benefits to include company pension, healthcare and 23 days holiday.
