Our client based near Wetherby is looking to appoint a Health, Safety, and Compliance Coordinator on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, collaborating closely with the Production team and providing support to all departments and external parties concerning the health, safety, and welfare of employees and associates of the Company.
The successful candidate will hold NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent qualification and have a firm understanding of the application of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the business, including RIDDOR. You will also undertake Risk Assessments and associated documentation for for topics such as, but not limited to:
* COSHH
* Working at Height
* Lifting & Slinging
* Construction of Temporary Structures
* Mobile Plant
* Manual Handling
* HAV Exposure
Essential characteristics:
* A positive attitude to work
* Professional in their approach to dealing with issues and employees
* Able to work with confidentiality and discretion
* Highly organised and able to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Drive, enthusiasm and commitment
* Have a flexible approach to working hours, to meet the needs of the business as required
* Willingness to undertake relevant training as appropriate
