Experts in the installation, commissioning, fault-finding, testing and maintenance of HV equipment, including switchgear and transformers, the organisation has a reputation for offering its people excellent training and development opportunities and is recognised within the industry as a great place to work.

* Interpreting electrical schematics and drawings

* Carrying out isolations and Authorised Person (AP) / Senior Authorised Person (SAP) duties when qualified to do so

* The issue and acceptance of Permits to Work (PTW) for the safe operation of HV systems

* Carrying out site surveys

* Testing, commissioning and maintenance of HV equipment

* Carrying out all duties in accordance with health and safety legislation

* Representing the company on site

Qualifications and Experience Required:

* Knowledge and hands on experience working on HV systems

* The ability to use HV testing equipment

* Demonstrable knowledge of electrical safety rules and isolations

* Qualification in Electrical Engineering, eg. HNC

* Driving licence

* Whilst most work is within 80 miles of the office, some is further afield so a willingness to travel and, occasionally, stay away is required

* Problem-solving and communication skills

This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in the installation, maintenance or commissioning of HV systems. It's especially suitable for an HV Engineer who wants to benefit from excellent training and a path to Senior Authorised Person status, with a company that values its people.
