Job Description

Are you a highly skilled Site Engineer looking to lock in a lucrative, fast-paced contract? We are currently partnering with a leading international infrastructure group who are leading the transformation of our industry to meet the challenges of the future. We are seeking an experienced professional to join their major DBFO A50 works project. If you excel in highway environments and are ready to hit the ground running, this is the perfect opportunity to secure a premium-rate contract on a high-profile site straight through to November!

The Contract Details:

Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: Uttoxeter (A50 Highway / DBFO A50 works)

Rate: £490 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 01/11/2026

Working Hours: Night shifts throughout September and October

What You'll Be Doing: Working closely with the site management team, you will be the technical lead on the ground during night operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

Setting out and carrying out basic site surveying.

Taking accurate site measurements and maintaining meticulous records.

Taking responsibility for the holding and issuing of critical site permits (including permit to dig and hot works).

Scanning and identifying underground services to ensure site safety.

Overseeing safe digging practices and ensuring all site protocols are strictly followed.

What We Need From You: To be successful in this role, you must have strong previous experience working on highways or major infrastructure projects, along with the following tickets:

CSCS Card

SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)

EUSR Categories 1 & 2

Proven, hands-on experience in safe digging and service identification.

Highways Passport is highly preferred, though not essential.
