The Company
KSEYE Group is an established financial services company specialising within short-term property lending markets. The company is experiencing an exciting growth period and is now keen to welcome a Paralegal to join the legal team and reporting to the company’s Legal Director.
Responsibilities
Provide legal support with the organisation and execution of secured lending.
Working in cooperation with the internal credit and underwriting functions, funding partners and external solicitors.
Communicating with legal firms and funders in relation to transactions.
Taking instructions and liaising with the underwriting team to action and follow up.
Assisting the legal team with the launch of new lending products.
Support the legal and risk teams with file management and administration.
Dealing with documentation and registration from Land Registry.
Prepare contract documentation and issuing contract packs.
Carrying out aspects of case administration following completion, including; obtaining redemption figures, pre-completion searches, preparing final completion statements, liaising with solicitors and agents on completion.
Maintaining diaries for completion and registration and complying with all deadlines.
Sending all necessary correspondence to various internal and external parties.
Utilise the company’s Case Management system when typing correspondence, telephone notes and liaise with underwriters to maintain case files.
Dealing with post-completion work and occasionally dealing with redemptions.
From time-to-time deal with the return of client’s initial instructions and carrying out necessary ID and Money Laundering checks and searches.
Education & Experience
Desirable: 2+ years' experience in similar role or within the lending sector.
Desirable: Degree educated in a relevant subject.
Desirable: Knowledge of lending or finance legal practice.
Ability to be proactive, handle a busy workload and work well under pressure.
Confident in working cross departmentally and with external parties.
Ability to manage your own busy caseload and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
Confident drafting legal documentation.
