Multi-SkilledMaintenance EngineerThe company has a fantastic new job opportunity for a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical fault-finding, mechanical maintenance and manufacturing plant experience.If youve also worked in the following roles, wed also like to hear from you: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer, Plant Maintenance Engineer, Engineering Technician, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical EngineerSALARY: Up to £49,511 per annum + Paid Overtime Opportunities + BenefitsLOCATION: Birch Vale, High Peak (with travel to Stalybridge site as required)JOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday with Overtime AvailableJOB OVERVIEWThis is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, continuous improvement and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.As the Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in helping ensure the reliability, efficiency and safety of production equipment across the organisations manufacturing operations.The Maintenance Engineer will respond to plant breakdowns, deliver planned preventative maintenance, support site improvement projects and help improve equipment uptime across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.DUTIESYour duties as the Maintenance Engineer include:Breakdown Response: Respond promptly and effectively to equipment and plant breakdownsFault Finding: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across production equipmentPlanned Maintenance: Deliver planned preventative maintenance activitiesContinuous Improvement: Support initiatives to improve equipment reliability and uptimePlant Systems: Maintain pumps, pipework, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsMachinery Inspections: Inspect machinery and plant to identify potential issues before failures occurMaintenance Records: Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentationProject Support: Assist with equipment installations and site improvement projectsHealth and Safety: Work safely at all times and ensure compliance with company Health & Safety proceduresCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALTime-served engineering background or equivalent engineering qualificationStrong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, although 17th Edition will be consideredExperience within a manufacturing or industrial environmentKnowledge of electrical control systems, motors and drives, pumps and pipework, pneumatics and hydraulicsFull UK Driving LicenceExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDESIRABLEExperience with plastics, polymer, chemical or processing machineryPLC fault-finding experienceWelding or fabrication skillsContinuous improvement or lean manufacturing experienceBENEFITSSalary up to £49,511 per annumPaid overtime opportunities20 paid Saturday shifts per year (6 hours each)Company pension schemeFree on-site parkingOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to work within a growing and financially strong manufacturing groupSecure long-term career prospectsHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
