We’re working with a growing UK technology platform looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of an important production engineering project.This is aCambridge-based hybrid role, so applicants must be able to work on-site in Cambridge on a regular basis.The initial focus will be designing and implementing multi-role RBAC / permissions architecture within an existing platform, alongside broader improvements across the application.The stackTypeScriptNode.js / ExpressNext.js / ReactGitHub Actions(Equivalent technologies and transferable experience will be considered)What you’ll be doing:Design and implement role-based access control across an existing applicationDefine roles, permissions and access rules across different user typesMake associated database/schema changes and migrationsImplement secure API and frontend permission handlingBuild and own product features and user workflows end-to-endImprove application architecture, reliability, security and test coverageWork directly with product and leadership on technical decisions and trade-offsIntegrate new functionality into an existing production codebaseTake ownership of changes from database and backend through to frontend and productionWhat's needed:Commercial TypeScript experience across frontend and backendCommercial React and/or Next.js experience, including building application interfaces and user workflowsPostgreSQL / relational database knowledgePrevious experience implementing RBAC, permissions, authorisation or complex access-control systemsExperience owning database schemas, migrations and backend/API changesExperience building and owning full-stack product features end-to-endExperience making architectural changes to an existing production applicationAble to work hybrid from CambridgeExperience with SaaS, marketplace, multi-tenant or multi-stakeholder platforms would be particularly useful.
