Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for a fully remote position to architect, implement, and manage advanced security solutions. This role is critical for defending the organization's digital infrastructure against sophisticated cyber threats. You will be responsible for designing secure systems, leading the deployment of new security technologies, and contributing to the overall cybersecurity strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working independently in a remote setting, and possesses a deep technical understanding of enterprise security.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robust security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead the deployment and integration of security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems.
• Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
• Develop and automate security processes and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is embedded in the system development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and architecture.
• Extensive experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
