Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias Location: Flintshire, North Wales

Salary: £54,000 + £2,000 annual bonus

Earnings: £55,000–£58,000+ with overtime

Shift: Continental 12-hour shift pattern – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

Pension: 5% employer contribution

Holiday: 25 days

The opportunity Ganymede Solutions is working with an established specialist manufacturing business supplying products into the construction sector.

Due to continued investment within the site and the development of its engineering function, they are looking to appoint an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.

This is a permanent position within a well-established engineering team, supporting a highly automated manufacturing environment where reliability and keeping production running are central to the role.

For an engineer currently working in a similar manufacturing environment, the attraction is a combination of strong basic earnings, regular overtime, a structured shift pattern and genuine investment in technical development .

The role Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment.

Your day-to-day work will include:

Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery.

Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns and diagnosing faults efficiently.

Electrical fault finding across sensors, relays, inverters, control systems, single and three-phase motors and associated electrical equipment .

Working with PLC-controlled automated machinery , including Beckhoff systems.

Maintaining equipment including conveyors, palletising systems and automated production machinery .

Mechanical maintenance including bearings, belts, pulleys, gearboxes and motors .

Supporting equipment rebuilds, modifications and improvement work where required.

Using a tablet-based maintenance system to complete PPMs, record breakdowns and maintain accurate engineering records.

Working closely with production and the wider engineering team to minimise downtime and maintain output.<...
