Salary: £14.25 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with mainstream primary schools in the Vale of Glamorgan who are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. The schools provide welcoming environments where pupils are encouraged to learn, develop and feel supported throughout the school day.

The successful Teaching Assistant will initially support pupils on a flexible basis, with long-term potential available for the right candidate who is a strong fit for the school. The Teaching Assistant will support children both within the classroom and on a 1-1 basis, using their initiative to engage pupils while providing a warm, calm and consistent presence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a school or with children
Experience supporting children both 1-1 and within group environments
The ability to use initiative and confidently support classroom activities
A reliable, warm and calming approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Fluent Welsh language skills are advantageous but not essential
