Job Description

Make a Real Difference. Become a Support Worker in Milton Keynes This is a full-time role for someone who wants more than just a job - someone who wants to build real relationships, be part of a team that genuinely cares, and help people live the life that makes sense to them. At MacIntyre, we call that living a gloriously ordinary life - full of choice, connection, and the chance to use your own gifts and passions in your own community.

We're looking for full-time Support Workers to join our teams at our registered care services in Shenley Church End and Crownhill , Milton Keynes. No previous experience is necessary - if you've got the right attitude and share our values of empowerment, respect and compassion, we'll give you all the training you need.

What the Role Involves You'll play a key part in supporting the people we work with (aged 40 to 70) to live independently and enjoy everyday life, at home and in the community. They live together in either a six-bedroom house or a three-bedroom bungalow, both a short walk from local shops, a café, a park and a pub they enjoy visiting regularly.

No two days look the same. You might be:

Out and about with favourite activities - swimming, bowling, the cinema, holidays, walks in the park

Cooking, cleaning and pitching in with everyday household life

Supporting with personal care and medication when needed

Just spending time together - chatting, laughing, enjoying shared interests

At home, there's always a good spot to relax - the sitting room, the patio, or the garden when the sun's out.

What People Are Looking For in a Support Worker The people we support have told us what matters to them. They're hoping for someone who is:

A good listener

Friendly and outgoing

Encouraging and positive

Genuinely up for being part of their lives, not just working alongside them

Sound like you? You'll fit right in.

Working Hours As a full-time role, you'll work on a rota covering days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. Typical shifts:

Early: 07:30–15:00

Late: 14:30–22:00

You'll need to hold a full, valid driving licence (automatic or manual) - this is essential for the role, as you'll be driving to activities and appointments.
