Human Resources Advisor We have a great opportunity for an experienced for a Human Resource Advisor to join a busy Manufacturing company based in Castleford, West Yorkshire. This role will be ideal for a qualified HR professional with 2+ years’ experience of working in a manufacturing or fast paced environment. The role will be supported by external senior HR Professionals and will be a great place to learn and grow your own career.The Human Resources Advisor will support our manufacturing site in ensuring a smooth and efficient business operation. You will have both administrative and operational responsibilities and will help with important functions such as recruitment & selection, absence management, employee relations, training and development and compensation and benefits. Working Hours Mon - Thur 08:30 - 17:00Fri 08:30 - 14:00 Objectives of this role Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations
Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements
Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company
Ensure compliance with regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary
Responsibilities Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
Handle administrative tasks for all HR processes including data entry in human resources information systems (Breathe & Tensor) and audits for accuracy and compliance
Ensure strict confidentiality of HR data and information, producing reports as and when required.
Support management in HR related meetings ensuring detailed notes are recorded, best practice is followed, and any follow up actions are taken.
Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organisational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
Provide any necessary data to allow payroll processing, including weekly and monthly pay runs.
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee policies, and organisational chart, and contribute to policy development.
Required skills Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, or related field or CIPD Qualification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Aptitude for problem-solving and a working knowledge of HR procedures and policies
Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
Strong Microsoft skills
Preferred skills and qualifications Proven success working in a busy HR department
Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
Knowledge of Breathe software
Knowledge of up to-date employment legislation
