Job Description

Payroll Administrator - Hartley Wintney - £32000 - Permanent - Office based

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring payroll-related queries are handled efficiently and professionally.

This is a key role within the Finance/HR function, requiring excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Process monthly/weekly payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, salary changes, benefits and deductions.

Process statutory payments and deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and other applicable deductions.

Ensure payroll information complies with current legislation and company policies.

Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies.

Prepare and submit relevant payroll reports and documentation.

Manage payroll-related queries from employees and resolve issues promptly.

Liaise with HR, Finance, pension providers and other third parties as required.

Maintain accurate records and ensure payroll documentation is securely stored.

Assist with year-end payroll activities, including P60s and other statutory reporting.

Support payroll audits and provide information as required.

Keep up to date with changes to payroll legislation and regulations.

Contribute to improving payroll processes, controls and systems.
