Job Description

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate some proficiency in most of these technologies: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript tools (React, Angular, etc.), and SQL, with a willingness to learn the others.
  • Display some experience with a version control system (e.g., git).
  • Have experience with a modern IDE (IntelliJ or VSCode) and proficiency in using refactoring tools.
  • Have some experience with test-driven development and mocking libraries (Jest, Mockito).
  • Be familiar with collaborative documentation tools (Jira and Confluence).
  • Have some real knowledge of Agile practices and execution (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Want to learn or have experience with AI-based solutions.
  • Be eager to learn and grow skills and experience.
  • Enjoy collaborating with team members to create innovative solutions.
  • Be open to discussing and honing approaches to improve working practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements to engineering practices and the delivery pipeline to increase quality and speed.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team (engineering, product, QA, DevOps) to deliver positive business outcomes.
  • Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, iterate on feedback, and deliver user-focused solutions in a fast-moving environment.
