Job Description

1:1 Teaching Assistant (Ages 11-16) - Full Time

Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Huyton
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in the Huyton area. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student aged 11-16 with additional learning needs. This is a full-time, term-time-only position, ideal for someone who is committed to nurturing student development through personalised support.

Key Requirements:

Experience supporting young people, preferably within a secondary school setting

Previous experience in a 1:1 support role or working with pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is highly desirable

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual student needs

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
