3rd Line Support Engineer

Our client, urgently needs a really strong, 3rd line Support Engineer for their End User Support team.

Requirements for 3rd line / Escalation Engineer

* 3 to 5+ years’ experience in 3rd Line / Infrastructure support, preferably some time spent within an MSP environment.

* Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure knowledge.

* Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy experience.

* Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls and VLANs.

* Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMWare virtualisation.

* Experience supporting and troubleshooting Citrix DaaS / Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.

* Good PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

* Experience with SQL Server administration and troubleshooting desirable.

* Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery and security technologies.

* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

* Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.

* Ability to work closely with AMs, Project Managers, Service Delivery and customer IT teams.

Desirables (or willing to work towards)

* Strong experience delivering Professional Services projects, migrations and technical implementations.

* Experience working with Professional Services organisations, particularly accounting, legal or other regulated environments

* Understanding of the specific technology, security, compliance and confidentiality requirements of accountancy and legal firms.

* Ability to produce technical designs, implementation plans, migration plans and documentation.

* Experience taking projects through discovery, design, implementation, testing and handover to BAU.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical projects and priorities.

* Strong commitment to documentation, standards and delivering supportable solutions.

* Ability to conduct technical discovery, identify risks and technical debt, and recommend appropriate solutions.

* Relevant Microsoft, Citrix, VMware or ITIL certifications desirable.
