The role of Mechanical Fitter will be working for a company, having recently moved into a brand new, purpose-build laboratory, with a focus on specialised environmental and automotive testing. You’ll be joining this business at a very exciting time, as they build the team, there will be ample opportunities for you to learn and develop your skills within a niche, challenging environment.
The Role
The Mechanical Fitter will be setting up the tests on the specialised equipment at the laboratory.
The role will involve:
Setting up test rigs according to specifications given by the Test Engineer
Fitting sensors required for test rig set up.
Checking that bolts are torqued and to the correct tension for test set up.
Use of hand tools and some power tools
Drilling and tapping holes required for test rig set up.
Monitoring the test equipment during test processes and reporting any events to the Test Engineers
