Over the last 12 months we have made great progress in developing a new generation of products that will use cutting-edge technologies to drive our mission to transform eye care and are now looking for an Integration and Test Engineer Principal to continue the momentum, bringing your experience and ideas with you.
You and the role
We would love it if you come from a medical devices, automotive or defence/aerospace background as these industries translate well to what we do and how we work.
You will be no stranger to working cross-functionally and be able to adapt your style depending on who you’re dealing with in the business. We are lucky enough to have the support of our parent company, Nikon, and several stakeholders from Japan are committed to this project so you will have ample opportunity to make connections with the wider global team.
As this role is focusing on our new product range, we need someone who can confidently take on a range of tasks such as planning, coordination, performance evaluation, bench marking, and documentation activities related to the systems and module level integration of complex ophthalmic imaging systems. Crucially, you will be detail-oriented but also able to take a bird’s eye of the project and its progress overall.
In this role you will be leading a small team of 4 Integration and Test Engineers and will be confident in organising and directing their work while also leading by example.

From an educational perspective, you will be degree qualified in Engineering Physics or a related scientific/technical discipline.
Experience of defining and completing integration of one or more of Electronical/ Optical/ Mechanical Systems/Sub-systems would be ideal along with test experience/ automation of test processes for such systems.
