Job Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our London studio. You will work closely with our Design Managers and multi-disciplinary design teams to assist in delivery of high profile projects across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

Taking responsibility for tasks from day one, you will be supporting Design Managers and Project Teams in monitoring and reporting on the performance of the project in the London studio.

Tasks will include:

  • Assistance with preparation of programmes of work, scopes of work and deliverables schedules (liaising with teams and Project Coordinators).
  • Coordination with other design consultants and client representatives to track design progress during regular project meetings.
  • Preparing and assisting with workload and forecasting data and documentation.
  • Preparing fee drawing arrangements and calculating sums due for invoicing.
  • Maintaining records of project change and assisting in management of change control processes.
  • Monitoring sub-consultants’ fees and invoices.
  • Assisting with other project or business functions as necessary and as workload dictates, actively delivering value for time spent.

Qualifications

You will be proficient in MS Excel. A general understanding of programming principles such as logic links, baselines, critical path and float, and familiarity with any of the programming software such as MS Project, Primavera or Asta PowerProject, would be preferred but not essential.

You will be highly numerate with good IT skills, drive and enthusiasm, an ability to communicate effectively and some knowledge of the construction industry and/or RIBA design process. Previous experience in a design‑led environment and knowledge of appointment documents will be an advantage.

You will demonstrate a collaborative team‑working style, enjoy working to tight deadlines, collaborate effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds, and possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Benefits

We offer a competitive remuneration and benefits package that includes an employee profit share scheme, tax‑efficient smart benefits, private medical insurance, life insurance, long‑term sickness insurance, interest‑free season ticket loans, health screening, opportunity to buy/swap holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity provision, and many more.

In return, we can offer you a wide range of learning opportunities to encourage personal and professional career development. From sponsorship to profession‑led CPD events, we also offer annual appraisals and a mentoring scheme supported by our internal online learning platform.
