Job Role - Machine Operator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Machine Operator to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business based in the Oxford area.
The company is continuing to invest in its manufacturing facilities, machinery and people, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator to join a growing production team.
You will be responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. You will play an important role in maintaining production output and minimising downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor automated production machinery.
Set up machinery and production lines according to manufacturing requirements.
Monitor production processes and ensure products meet quality standards.
Carry out basic fault-finding and adjustments where required.
Complete quality checks and production documentation.
Work to strict health, safety and hygiene procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised production environment.
Identify and report machinery or production issues to the relevant team.
Work closely with the production and engineering teams to maximise efficiency.
Meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as a Machine Operator, Production Operative or similar within a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating machinery within a fast-paced production environment.
Good understanding of health, safety and quality procedures.
Ability to follow production processes and instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliable and committed approach to work.
Comfortable working within a target-driven manufacturing environment.
Desirable Requirements
Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or other high-volume manufacturing.
Experience operating automated production machinery.
Basic mechanical or technical understanding.
Experience with machine changeovers, setups or adjustments.
Relevant manufacturing or engineering qualifications.
