UX RESEARCH & PRODUCT DESIGN THOUGHT LEADER - ESTABLISHED B2C PLATFORM
This well established brand are going through a period of exceptional growth & transformation, and as part of that journey the senior leadership team have decided to bring in a seasoned Digital Product Design & UX Research Director. Innovation, team growth and being able to define processes will be key focus areas for this critical hire.
**Please note - this role is hybrid (1 day minimum in the office) based in either London OR Hampshire (finer details TBC dependent on each applicant/situation)
What they need -
A highly experienced Digital Product Design lead who has bags of consumer facing experience and knows how to lead on strategy across both product design & research
Someone with a strong track record of building and scaling teams - an expert mentor & leader for the product design function
A digital native who's accustomed to working with ambiguity and isn't afraid to help define processes and the roadmap for the team
Someone who can confidently manage both upwards and downwards (across C-suite, product, engineering, etc), leading on digital best practice when it comes to enhancing the customer facing proposition
A hands-on design practitioner who can guide their growing team in terms of site improvements, prioritising user research & data to inform your design decision making
Someone who can capably set business priorities, becoming the champion across the business for best-in class user experience design
What you're great at -
Devising clear product design roadmaps with a strong track record of delivering site enhancements for another customer facing business (B2C exposure is essential)
Building design teams from the ground up, leading from the front and delivering exceptional team mentorship and management as processes & systems are put in place
Collaborating with your product & engineering counterparts to deliver the most seamless product experience for the businesses valued users
At your core you are an exceptional visual designer with strengths in user research, prototyping, UCD principles and design accessibility
