Organisation | Public Sector / Digital TransformationA leading organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation programme is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-performing technical team.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining modern cloud-based data solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Working within an Agile environment, you'll help develop scalable data platforms, optimise data pipelines, and contribute to the delivery of robust, secure, and high-quality data products.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutionsBuild and optimise ETL and ELT pipelinesSupport the migration of existing data services into cloud environmentsDevelop and maintain data products that support reporting and analyticsImplement CI/CD processes and engineering best practicesMonitor, troubleshoot and improve data platform performanceWork closely with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutionsEnsure data quality, governance, and security standards are maintainedContribute to data architecture, documentation, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teamsWhat They're Looking For:Strong experience with Python and SQLExperience building and maintaining enterprise data pipelinesExperience working with cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud PlatformKnowledge of relational databases and data warehousingExperience with version control tools such as GitUnderstanding of data modelling principlesExperience working with large-scale datasetsKnowledge of workflow orchestration toolsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsExperience working within Agile delivery environmentsDesirable Experience:Google Cloud certificationsExperience with Docker or containerisation technologiesExposure to BigQuery, Spark, Dataproc, or similar technologiesKnowledge of DataOps and DevOps practicesUnderstanding of UK GDPR and data governance principles
