Start date Immediate / ASAP Steady, term-time cleaning work with a school in Enfield — split shifts that fit around the school day. First Call Education is recruiting reliable Temporary School Cleaning Staff to join a school in Enfield, North London, for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of a longer-term position. You'll play an important part in keeping the school clean, safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors — working across the middle of the day and the after-school clean-down.

Key responsibilities

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
  • Cleaning and maintaining school toilets to a high standard.
  • Ensuring classrooms and shared areas are clean, tidy and presentable.
  • Following cleaning schedules and instructions from the cleaning supervisors.
  • Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Reporting any issues or concerns to the relevant supervisor.
  • Supporting the wider cleaning team to maintain standards across the school.
  • Working in line with school procedures and health & safety requirements.

About you

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • A team player who takes pride in their work.
  • Thorough, and comfortable following instructions and cleaning schedules.
  • Flexible and willing to support the school as required.
  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable, ideally within a school or similar environment.
