We recommend discussing arrangements with the hiring manager.THE TEAMYou will be a part of Credit Control team.You’ll join a close-knit Credit Control team of six, led by the Head of Credit Control, within our wider Group Finance function. The team also plays an important role in supporting colleagues across Asset Management, Legal and Commercial Finance, giving you exposure to different areas of the business and the opportunity to build valuable relationships.THE ROLETo support the credit control activity for a portfolio of Retail and Office properties, helping to maintain tenant ledgers and prepare tenant statements and reconciliations under guidance from more experienced members of the team.Salary: CompetitivePRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIESAssist with chasing outstanding arrears on tenant ledgers, escalating more complex queries where requiredHelp reconcile tenant and customer accounts to ensure information is accurate and up to datePrepare and issue tenant statements with support from the wider Credit Control teamContribute to arrears reporting by collating information and providing basic commentary for reviewIdentify potential bad debt items and escalate them to the appropriate team member for review and approvalSupport the processing of approved bad debt write offs, ensuring records are accurately updatedAttend portfolio arrears meetings where required, preparing notes and actions for follow upAssist with gathering information needed for bad debt provision calculationsSupport liaison with internal teams and external parties on insolvency-related matters, escalating queries as appropriateHelp coordinate information for collection agents or solicitors when instructed by senior team membersESSENTIAL CRITERIACommunicating Effectively - Good communication skills and confidence working with colleagues, tenants and customersPlanning & Managing Work - Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage routine tasks and deadlines with supportCustomer Service – A positive, team-focused approach and willingness to learnThis is a great opportunity to join a supportive, sector-leading credit control team at a FTSE 100 company.
