Head of Sales - Energy

Head of Sales is required by our client in Nottingham to take ownership of a high-performing energy sales team. Our client is driving towards net-zero and energy security, as well as a need to reduce overall cost-to-serve, the UK energy industry is going through one of its largest periods of change.

As Head of Sales you will transform the sales team, who predominantly deal with inbound opportunities, to spotting and creating sales i.e. we need more hunters. You will lead a team of 18 account managers and sales professionals in what is a small and competitive market. Success for this individual will be creating a proactive, customer-centric, sales organisation that can double our revenues over the next 5 years in key growth areas.

Head of Sales will be instrumental as my client moves to transition to renewable generation, grid balancing, upgrades to infrastructure, the installation of smart metering and the transition to mandatory half-hourly settlement for residential properties all fall within the portfolio of services. Although they are open to someone in the Midlands area there is another company site in Rochester, Kent and this role will have responsibility over both – with trips to Rochester included as part of the role.

Head of Sales permanent profile required:

Have a consistent track record of Sales leadership in the utilities market,

A demonstrable success in product introduction, market development, strategy implementation,

In-depth knowledge of CRM applications and reporting,

Have a solid understanding of the utilities market segments and its drivers,

A proven track record leading high performing sales and accounts teams.

Head of Sales permanent contract details include.

Start date: ASAP.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 base salary + bonus scheme + additional benefits.

Days onsite: Hybrid, up to 8 days onsite a month

Location: Nottingham
