Accounts Assistant Annual Salary: £28,000

Location: Just outside of Harlow

Job Type: Full-time - office based

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to manage various accounting tasks, including invoicing, credit control, and ledger management. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the company’s financial operations run smoothly and will also contribute to other areas of the business as required by the company directors.

Day-to-day of the role: Handling accounts, invoicing, and closing maintenance/service jobs in our accounting system.

Managing sales orders, credit control, sales ledger, and purchase ledger tasks.

Preparing VAT returns, handling VAT Reversal, and dealing with CIS.

Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

Undertaking general administrative duties, including answering telephone calls and scanning documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in an accounts role with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Proficiency in using accounting software (please specify if a particular software is required).

Experience with VAT returns, VAT Reversal, and CIS.

Skilled in bank reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.

A team player who is also capable of working independently.

Benefits: Competitive annual salary of £28,000.
