Due to a very successful 2022 and a great start to the 2023 financial year, they are looking to grow their technical function and as such they are looking to hire a junior design engineer to join their team ASAP.
Junior Design Engineer - Role overview:
The Junior Design Engineer will work closely with the Production and R&D departments. You will be responsible for designing new concepts to customer specifications as well as updating existing designs and products so they better match new specifications.
Junior Design Engineer - Role responsibilities:
Product design and development within R&DTechnical drawings using SolidWorks for concept designs, quotations and R&D testing requirements Liaising with the factory on production issuesMeetings with clientsSite surveys.
Junior Design Engineer - Candidate Requirements:
Engineering based degree (marine/mechanical or similar).Computer literate with a good knowledge of SolidWorks or a similar CAD package.
Creative & innovative approach to problem solving & product / process development
Applicants must have a high level of written and verbal communication skills in English.
The role will require a confident assertive and proactive approach to the work with a 'can do’, flexible attitude.
Ability to work consistently to high standards of accuracy and quality is essential.
