Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks within families. Develop and implement effective intervention plans to support positive outcomes.
Case Management: Manage a caseload of families, ensuring timely and high-quality interventions. Regularly review cases and update plans based on evolving needs and circumstances.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community resources, to provide holistic support to families.
Advocacy: Advocate for families within the legal and social services systems, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing emotional support and practical solutions to families in distress.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and case progress in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Degree in Social Work: A recognised qualification in social work and registration with the relevant professional body.
DBS on the update service
Experience: Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within a family support context.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation. Familiarity with the local community and available resources is an advantage.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families and professionals.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgements in complex situations.
Pay Rate: £35-£45 per hour
