Job Description

Senior Structural Engineer will join an established Leeds City Centre consultancy, delivering structural design solutions for residential and commercial developments. This permanent role offers a salary between £48,000 and £61,000. The position requires leading technical work on building projects, managing design packages, and collaborating with architects, developers, and contractors from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead structural design for residential and commercial building projects
Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, and drawings
Manage project delivery from concept design through to construction
Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants
Attend design meetings and undertake site visits when required
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

About You

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Significant experience in structural design of buildings in the UK
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards
Experience with structural design software (e.g. Tekla Tedds, SCIA, or similar)
Chartered status with ICE or IStructE, or actively working towards it
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
