Quality Engineer

Job Description

Are you an experienced QHSE professional looking to make a real impact within a growing manufacturing business?

We are seeking a Quality, Environmental & Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop all aspects of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety performance across our manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring a culture where quality and safety are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

Working closely with the Operations Director and wider leadership team, you will take ownership of the site's Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring continued compliance with ISO standards while promoting best practice across the business. You will play a pivotal role in supporting operational excellence, reducing risk, and driving sustainable improvements throughout the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the site's Integrated Management System (IMS).

Lead ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance activities and external audits.

Develop, monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics.

Conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures.

Lead investigations into incidents, non-conformances and root cause analysis activities.

Drive corrective and preventive actions across the business.

Support and develop a positive safety culture through training and engagement initiatives.

Liaise with regulatory bodies, certification auditors and external stakeholders.

Support sustainability initiatives and maintain relevant environmental accreditations.

Provide regular QHSE reporting to the leadership team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous QHSE experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Experience leading external audits and maintaining accreditations.

Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation and risk management.

Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.<...
