Job Description

Inbound Sales Specialist (warm leads, no cold calling!)

Northampton (Hybrid after probation)

Are you a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering customer needs and turning enquiries into long-term business partnerships?

If you're naturally curious, commercially minded and thrive on providing solutions rather than hard selling, this could be the perfect next step.

We're recruiting on behalf of a multi-award-winning and growing business that has built an outstanding reputation within its sector. Due to continued success, they're looking for a Sales Executive to join their team and play a key role in converting warm inbound opportunities into loyal, long-term customers.

This isn't a cold-calling role. You'll be working with a steady flow of inbound enquiries, providing product quotations, advising customers on the best solutions for their needs, and managing the sales process through to completion.

You'll also have the opportunity to nurture customers, developing deeper relationships and identifying opportunities to grow accounts over time.

The Role

  • Managing inbound sales enquiries from new customers
  • Preparing quotations and providing tailored product recommendations
  • Guiding customers through the sales journey from initial enquiry to order completion
  • Building strong relationships that encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty
  • Taking transactional customers and developing them into managed accounts
  • Understanding customer challenges and offering consultative solutions
  • Working closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing activity through the CRM system

About You

  • Previous experience in sales
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • A consultative approach with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Confident preparing quotations and closing sales opportunities
  • Commercially aware with a natural ability to spot opportunities for growth
  • Self-motivated, proactive and keen to develop long-term customer relationships
  • Comfortable managing multiple opportunities and prioritising effectively

What's in it for you?

  • Uncapped commission
  • Hybrid working after probation
  • Warm inbound leads - no cold calling
  • Genuine opportunity to grow and develop your career
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
