Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and contribute to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges

Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs), under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers

Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, including adapting materials and resources to meet their specific needs

Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting their social and emotional well-being and encouraging their independence and self-confidence

Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals, including external agencies and parents, to ensure coordinated support and communication

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school or educational setting

Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including relevant interventions and strategies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting the diverse needs of students

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
