Engineer – Residential HousebuildingEngineer – £60000+ £5,200 Car Allowance + 5% BonusOn behalf of our client, a leading 5-star housebuilder, we are recruiting for an experienced Engineer to join a high-performing technical team delivering high-quality residential developments.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional with strong residential infrastructure experience to play a key role across the full development lifecycle – from initial site appraisal and planning support through to technical approvals and construction delivery.The RoleYou will provide engineering support across multiple residential developments, ensuring technical solutions are commercially viable, compliant, and practical. Working closely with internal departments, consultants, local authorities and utility providers, you will help drive projects forward efficiently and successfully.The successful candidate will either undertake engineering design in-house or manage and review external consultant designs to ensure the most cost-effective and buildable solutions are achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Appraisals & Technical ViabilityPrepare technical viability assessments and site constraint plansInterpret geotechnical and environmental reports and provide recommendationsAssess ground conditions, foundations and remediation requirementsSupport planning applications by resolving engineering and infrastructure issuesCoordinate utility enquiries and procure new utility proposalsDesign & Technical CoordinationManage external consultants for roads, sewers, drainage, levels and infrastructure designReview engineering designs to ensure compliance, practicality and valueCoordinate with statutory bodies including Highway Authorities and Environment AgencyEnsure compliance with NHBC standards, Building Regulations and CDM regulationsSupport planning and technical approval processes throughout the project lifecycleConstruction & Delivery SupportEnsure all engineering information is available prior to site startProcure technical approvals for highways, drainage and utilitiesManage foundation and sub-structure design solutionsResolve engineering and CML issues during constructionPrepare tender documentation for specialist ground improvement and foundation worksSupport environmental, health & safety and site-specific action plansRequirementsProven experience within the residential housebuilding sectorStrong knowledge of roads, sewers, drainage, foundations and utilitiesExperience managing external engineering consultantsAbility to interpret geotechnical and environmental reportsStrong understanding of technical approvals and regulatory requirementsExperience producing technical site appraisals and engineering solutionsProficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Windes and MicroDrainageAbility to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlinesEngineering degree or equivalent qualification (ICE or RICS accredited desirable)What's on OfferCompetitive basic salaryCar allowance5% bonus schemePrivate healthcarePension scheme with company contributionsLife assuranceFlexible benefits packageExcellent career progression and professional development opportunitiesOpportunity to work with a highly respected 5-star housebuilder on quality residential developmentsThis is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Engineer or Senior Engineer looking to progress their career within a successful and growing residential developer.JBRP1_UKTJ
