Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Burnley. Operating from their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, our client is committed to bringing the latest innovations in high-performance and energy-efficient technologies to the trade.

Our client is now looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The role works closely with the Operations Team to ensure safety and operational targets are met, delivering a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance, project work, and support for capital investment and life cycle work as required.

Job details

  • Repairing and maintaining all site assets, with a strong focus on first-time fix and quality of work.
  • Ensuring breakdowns are rectified as effectively as possible to minimise machine downtime.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to reduce the level of breakdowns.
  • Organising and delivering preventative maintenance in line with weekly and monthly PPM plans.
  • Continually assessing on-site spares and stock levels to enable servicing and repairs.
  • Working in accordance with relevant risk assessments, safe systems of work, and all associated H&S legislation at all times.

Qualifications / Experience

  • A qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NVQ level or equivalent)
  • A multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical/electrical), with a strong bias towards electrical fault finding and repair.
  • Ability to read equipment drawings and electrical schematics (essential)
  • A logical approach to fault finding and machine repair
  • Strong organisational skills, with a methodical and accurate approach
  • Good health & safety knowledge
  • 17th/18th edition wiring qualification is (desirable)

What’s on offer

  • Salary: Up to £23.06 per hour (£47,964 per annum) – Inclusive of 20% shift allowance.
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 3-shift rotation (Days: 06:00 -14:00, Afters: 14:00 - 22:00, Nights: 22:00 - 06:00), on a two-weekly rotating pattern
