A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in South East London.

This Teaching Assistant position will be full time and long term with scope to go permanent.

Working hours for this Teaching Assistant post will be 8am to 4pm with a 1 hour unpaid break.

Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:

Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole class intervention sessions

Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified

Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required

Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy

Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed

The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £85.50 and £120 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

A Coeducational Academy for pupils aged 11 to 16 years old, located in the London Borough of Southwark.

BTEC and GCSE classes are both available for pupils to study.

The Music and Drama departments put on regular theatrical performances, including an annual school performance and have previously performed at the Royal Opera House too.

The drama department also has connections with Peckham Shed and there is a also an annual musical soiree organised by pupils.

Sports also holds a strong reputation at the school, with many students belonging to local sports teams.
