Software Developer in Test

Job Description

Salary: £45,000 - 122,500 per year

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on coding skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience writing automated tests.
  • Experience building and running CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience designing and delivering high-quality software.
  • Experience working with complex legacy applications, or a willingness to get stuck into them.
  • Strong opinions around how software should be tested and quality assured.
  • A willingness to challenge existing approaches and contribute ideas.
  • The ability to form opinions based on experience and evidence, while remaining open to changing our approach when presented with conflicting data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing activities within our engineering team.
  • Contribute directly to the software codebase.
  • Design, write and maintain automated tests.
  • Help define and maintain testing standards and approaches.
  • Contribute to code reviews and promote high engineering standards.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and release processes.
  • Work with complex and sometimes confusing legacy applications.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality software.
  • Bring our own ideas and opinions around how software should be tested and how quality can be maintained.
