Contract Manager Location: Slough, Berkshire
Salary: £55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of Hard Facilities Management services across a prestigious client contract based in the Slough area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Facilities Management professional to take ownership of the operational, financial and contractual performance of a high-profile account. You will lead a team of engineers and specialist subcontractors, ensuring exceptional service delivery, statutory compliance and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services across the contract.
Lead, motivate and develop a team of engineers and specialist subcontractors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, acting as the main operational point of contact.
Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities are delivered in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
Maintain full compliance with statutory legislation, health & safety requirements and company procedures.
Produce operational reports and attend regular client review meetings.
Manage contract budgets, financial forecasts, cost control and profitability.
Identify opportunities for service improvements, contract growth and additional works.
Oversee contractor performance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Manage compliance documentation, including permits to work, RAMS and statutory inspections.
Support the delivery of small works and project activities.
Carry out regular site inspections and compliance audits.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.
Ensure business policies and procedures are effectively implemented across the contract.
About You You will be an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong background in Hard FM and contract management. You'll be confident leading teams, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality services within a KPI-driven environment.
Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience as a Contract Manager, Facilities Manager, Operations Manager or Account Manager within Facilities Management.
Strong Hard FM and Building Services background.
Experience managing engineering teams and specialist subcontractors.
Proven experience managing contract budgets and commercial performance.
Strong understanding of statutory compliance and health & safety legislation.
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance services.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
Experience working within critical, logistics or industrial environments.
