Are you a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity in education?

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within schools and specialist education settings across Brentwood and the surrounding areas .

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with their learning, development and wellbeing.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils

Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities

Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND

Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and activities

Helping to manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement

Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff

Following individual education and behaviour plans where required

The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you:

Have experience working with children or young people

Have previous experience within a school, SEND, care, youth work or similar setting

Are patient, resilient and approachable

Have strong communication and relationship-building skills

Are confident supporting pupils with a range of learning needs

Are reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team

Have a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
